Ingredients for Making Balochi Beef Recipe:

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 500g beef, cubed
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • Whole spices (bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon)
  • Biryani masala
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

Steps for Making the Balochi Beef Biryani Recipe:

Step 1:

Marinate beef cubes in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, biryani masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Allow it to marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for enhanced flavor. This will increase the flavor of the dish greatly.

Step 2:

Rinse basmati rice thoroughly and soak for 30 minutes. Boil water with whole spices and cook the rice until it’s 70% done. After that, make sure to drain the excess water that’s in it.

Step 3:

In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté thinly sliced onions until golden brown. Add tomatoes, marinated beef, fresh coriander, and mint leaves. Cook until the beef is tender.

Step 4:

In a large, heavy-bottomed pan, layer partially cooked rice over the beef mixture. Sprinkle biryani masala and drizzle saffron-infused milk for added richness. Seal the pan with a tight-fitting lid. Make sure you do that properly.

Step 5:

Cook the biryani on low heat for 20-25 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the rice to absorb the essence of the beef and spices. And, you are done with the recipe! That’s all you need to know and after 5 steps you have the dish in front of you.
